The problem
Managing 460+ articles across topics like paddle boarding, Sacramento dining, home improvement, and gardening means each piece has its own SEO strategy, affiliate links, internal linking opportunities, and freshness requirements. WordPress admin does not scale for that. You lose track of what needs updating, miss linking opportunities between related articles, and have no real way to monitor content health at that volume.
What I built
MK Library is a lifestyle and wellness content site with topic clusters covering paddle boarding fitness, SUP guides, health and wellness, Sacramento dining and travel, home improvement, gardening, and tech reviews. Each cluster is built for topical authority with articles interlinked by design. A custom content tracker (which later became ContentMK) manages article status, SEO data, and cross-linking strategy.

- Content ideas system with keyword research data (volume, difficulty, competitor analysis)
- Social sharing tracking across Facebook, Reddit, and Pinterest
- Pexels integration for featured image sourcing
- Content pipeline now being consolidated into the ContentMK desktop application
Where it stands
The site has 460+ published articles.
The paddle boarding fitness cluster and Sacramento dining guides drive consistent organic traffic. Amazon affiliate links generate passive revenue. The content tracking tools I built for this site, alongside similar tools for The Weekly Driver, directly inspired ContentMK as a commercial product.
